Rookie Travis Beals had the most dramatic finish. After blazing the trail all the way from White Mountain, he asked his girlfriend to marry him beneath the Burled Arch. She said yes.

Currently, there are nine mushers still on the trail. Bob Chlupach is carrying the Red Lantern. All mushers should be in to Nome some time tomorrow, in time for Sunday’s presentation banquet.
